Next Legal Clinic: The legal clinic is cancelled until further notice due to Covid 19 restrictions. Calls for legal assistance will be returned as they come in.
Free Legal Clinic
The Community Restorative Justice Center’s Legal Clinic provides one time advice about legal rights and responsibilities, options for dealing with legal issues, and information about how the legal system works so you know what to expect when you have to go to court. The legal clinic is for people who are low income or have other barriers to getting legal help.
The Legal Clinic is held on the first Monday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.* Appointments are recommended, but the Legal Clinic also takes walk-ins.
*During COVID all legal clinic appointments are being done by phone.
Legal Clinics are staffed by local attorneys who volunteer their time. If you will need ongoing legal assistance, a referral can be made at the end of your session to a local attorney with the expertise you need. The legal Clinic is made possible by a grant from the Vermont Bar Foundation.
For more information, or to make an appointment,
please call 748-2977.
*If the first Monday of the month is a holiday, please call to find out when the Legal Clinic is scheduled.
