General Requirements:

Trained in and supportive of the principles and practices of Restorative Justice

Proficient in language skills and be able to communicate with others in person, via telephone, and by written correspondence, video conferencing, and email

Organized, self-actuating, dependable, trustworthy, and respectful to coworkers

Sensitive to the need for confidentiality and able to determine how and when confidentiality must be maintained 

A team player willing to assist in general operations of the CRJC

Attend monthly staff meetings

Willing to learn and step into other CRJC positions when needed.

Actively participate in periodic Personal Management Interviews with Executive Director


Job Duties:

 

·       Review and coordinate Reparative Probation cases referred to CRJC by Probation and Parole

Conduct intake meetings with Reparative Probation clients

Schedule and attend Reparative Panel meetings 

Provide client navigation and support services that result from Reparative Panel agreements 

Correspond with Probation Officers, State’s Attorney, service agencies and others regarding status of Reparative cases as needed

Complete monthly data statistics report for Dept. of Corrections

Attend court hearings for Reparative Probation clients when subpoenaed 

Recruit, train, and provide ongoing support for Reparative Panel volunteers

Ongoing Outreach to local and online media, agencies, organizations to recruit volunteers for CRJC programs 

Work under the supervision of the Reentry Coordinator to present Dept. of Corrections approved curriculum at the Northeast Correctional Complex (NECC)* 

Attend periodic meetings with Reentry Coordinator and NECC staff*

Coordinate and run Free Legal Clinic once a month

Answer Information and Referral calls referred from court for simple legal issues (assistance filling out court paperwork, helping write an eviction letter, etc.)

Maintain a yearly schedule for attorneys to attend clinics 

Co-facilitate a Quarterly Safe Driving Program 

Collaborate with other staff to organize a biennial volunteer appreciation event 

Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
